Chief selector Saleem Jaffar on Friday announced a 15-player Pakistan women’s squad for the bilateral white-ball series against South Africa.
The series, which includes three T20Is and three ODIs, will be held next month in Karachi.
The 18-year-old Shawaal Zulfiqar, who is also part of Pakistan’s squad for next month’s Asian Games, has been picked for the three T20Is.
Right-arm pacer Diana Baig also makes a comeback and has been included in both squads after recovering from a finger injury that kept her on the sidelines for more than six months.
The team will be led by experienced all-rounder Nida Dar, who replaces Bismah Maroof, who quit captaincy after the ICC Women’s T20 Cricket World Cup in February this year.
